Have you checked out the 3CE “Shine Reflector”, currently viral on social media as the “Ice Tanghulu Lip”?

It’s famous for its “churun” (jelly-like) gloss, but did you know that the highly anticipated New Colors (Milk Syrup Collection) were added in December 2025?

Today, I’ll thoroughly review my two personal favorites, “Rain or Shine” and “Opal Shower,” while breaking down the entire 10-shade lineup. I’ll also answer the big question: “How are the new colors different?”

  • Which shade works for both Warm and Cool tones?
  • Which one is best for layering?
  • Are the new “Milk Colors” easy to use?

If you’re wondering which one to buy while in Japan, use this guide!

What is the 3CE Shine Reflector?

First, let’s quickly explain why this item is buzzing.

  • Ice-like Gloss: Reflects light to cover lip wrinkles, giving that “Tanghulu” (candied fruit) finish.
  • Plumping Effect: A cooling sensation (suu-suu) that makes lips look plump and full.
  • High Moisture: Contains oil ingredients that hydrate just like a lip balm.
  • Sheer Pigmentation: Enhances your natural lip color, making it hard to mess up!

It’s not a tint, so it’s not “transfer-proof,” but the finish makes your lips look like they are naturally beautiful.

The Full 10-Shade Lineup

From high-pigment classics to trendy new milky shades, here is the breakdown.

(Note: ★ denotes the shades reviewed in detail below)

▼ [NEW] Milk Syrup Collection (3 Shades)

Added in Dec 2025. This series features the trendy “Whitish / Muted” tones.

  • Fascinated: A whitish pink like strawberry milk. Perfect for Cool Summer types who want a “Baby-like” (Babu-mi) look.
  • Second Skin: A mellow ginger milk beige. Great for Warm Spring/Autumn nude makeup.
  • My Galaxy: ★ A sheer black with mysterious glitter. Best for adding depth to other lipsticks.

▼ [Standard] High Pigment / Flush Colors (4 Shades)

Brightens your face instantly. Perfect for main use.

  • Rain or Shine:[Reviewed Below] The most versatile Pink Rose. When in doubt, pick this one!
  • Nectar: Deep cocoa brown. For a mature Warm Autumn look.
  • Coldest: Cool plum red. Makes Cool Winter skin look paler.
  • Softest: Warm mute coral. For a euphoric Warm Spring look.

▼ [Standard] Glitter / Nuance Colors (3 Shades)

Very sheer. Great for the “No-Makeup” look or layering.

  • Opal Shower:[Reviewed Below] Almost clear with multi-color glitter. An excellent topper.
  • Milky Shadow: Calm soft brown. Stylish like an Oolong Latte.
  • Lilac Glaze: Muted pale lilac. Adds transparency for Cool Tones.

[Real Review] Deep Dive into My 2 Favorites!

Here are the two shades I use every day. They have completely different charms!

1. When in doubt, buy this! The Royal Pink “Rain or Shine”

Rain or Shine: A versatile MLBB pink that looks gorgeous in any weather

Rain or Shine: A glossy MLBB pink that melts at body temperature
  • Vibe: A versatile “Mucous Membrane” pink for rain or shine.
  • Finish: A melting pink gloss that mimics natural flush.

“If I can only buy one, which should it be?” I would recommend this without hesitation.

  • Color: Neutral Pink Rose.
  • Recommendation: Works for BOTH Warm and Cool tones.

It’s a classic “MLBB” (My Lips But Better) shade. It adds a natural flush without being too flashy, instantly brightening your face. It doesn’t look out of place in the office, making it perfect for both work and dates. A true must-have for your pouch!

2. The Ultimate Topper! “Opal Shower”

3CE Shine Reflector Opal Shower, Milky Pink, Multi-colored Glitter, Base Color, Translucent, Product Photo
Opal Shower: A pure milky pink with quietly sparkling multi-dimensional glitter
3CE Shine Reflector Opal Shower Swatch, Milky Pink, Glitter, Translucent
Opal Shower: A translucent milky pink with delicate, sparkling glitter
  • Vibe: Pure whitish pink with quietly shimmering multi-glitter.
  • Finish: Overflowing transparency and delicate sparkle.

My other favorite is “Opal Shower.” It’s great on its own, but it excels as a “Topper” to elevate other lipsticks.

  • Color: Almost clear x Multi-colored glitter.
  • Recommendation: Glitter lovers and those seeking “Transparency.”

Since there’s almost no base color, I use it for gloss on “no-makeup” days, or layer it over matte lipsticks to give them a “churun” (jelly) look. The glitter is delicate, not gritty, so it shines elegantly.

[Winter 2025] How to Choose: New “Milk” vs. Standard?

The new “Milk Syrup Collection” added in Dec 2025 has more “Whiteness” (Milky) and “Pale” tones than before. Here is how to decide:

① If you like “Rain or Shine”…

You like the usability of Rain or Shine, but “want something paler and more ephemeral.”

  • Go for the New Colors:
    • Fascinated: Strawberry Milk Pink (For Cool Tones / Baby-face look).
    • Second Skin: Ginger Milk Beige (For Warm Tones / Nude look).
    • Summary: Want distinct color? → Rain or Shine. Want trendy pale/milky? → New Colors.

② If you like “Opal Shower”…

You like the sparkle, but “since it’s winter, I want more depth and maturity.”

  • Go for the New Color:
    • My Galaxy: Sheer black packed with glitter.
    • Layering this over your existing lipstick lowers the tone and transforms it into a deep, wintery shade.
    • Summary: Opal Shower = Spring/Summer Pure Sparkle. My Galaxy = Autumn/Winter Mysterious Sparkle.

⚠️ CRITICAL WARNING: “Non-Retractable” Container!

There is one huge caution when using this lipstick.

Once you twist it up, IT DOES NOT GO BACK DOWN!

To protect the melting, soft texture, the container is designed not to retract. If you twist up too much, you will crush it when you put the cap back on (tragic!).

Usage Rule: Twist it “click-click” and only bring out about 1mm before applying.
